In our latest article, Shehan Dias shares how he built a writing career in Sri Lanka through power cuts, vague briefs, and tough systems. No PayPal. Limited access to paid tools. And yet, he delivered work that converted.
His message is simple: AI, fancy work gear and premium tools can help, but what drives results is grit, strategic thinking, and the consistency to deliver—even when conditions aren’t ideal.
And I agree.
Shehan is now over 10 years into his career. Imagine if he’d waited for perfect conditions to start. He wouldn’t have the experience or portfolio he has today.
That hit home for me. So, this week, I’m committing to a project I’ve been putting off because I was waiting for the “perfect time”.
Truth is, if I had started in January, it’d be finished by now. But six months have passed, and I’ve made no progress. That changes today. Feel free to email and check in during the week. I’d genuinely appreciate the accountability.
